Rights do not stop at the boarder
The bilateral agreements ensure that Danish rightsholders receive remuneration when their material is copied in the countries with which we have an agreement. The reverse is the case when foreign material is copied in Denmark.
We have two types of agreements:
- Type A Agreement: the countries pay each other for copying.
- Type B Agreement: the payment for copying stays in the country in which it was earned. The money is distributed among the authors and publishers in the country in which the copies were made.
